gratitude for gathering,
the simplest blessings
are the most precious

Notes: Planted tomatoes, kale, chard, zucchini and cucumbers last weekend before having our first outdoor party of the year. The bugs are already devouring the kale. Sigh. Even for plants, life is a struggle. The scent of bitter tomato-vines is magic — the scent of summer. May your summer be long, fruitful and full of magic.

My favorite thing to do. With a hat. Sunscreen. Sunglasses. Bug spray. 🙂

You reminded me of my favourite thought by Meister Eckhart: If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.”

Yes, indeed. We yearn for the big things, only to realize that the most precious are the simple gifts and pleasures.

So true! I’m happy to see people’s faces without masks now — such a simple pleasure the vaccine has brought.
