Weave your story
with mine,
and we will never
live alone.

Notes: If you have time, watch the incandescent poem below, the inspiration for my poem, found when I went looking for wind and waves. At this time of too many divisions, let’s remember the past and honor each others’ stories. We need to unite, fight the virus, not each other.

West Dennis, MA on Cape Cod. A beautiful, long beach.

Great poem and that’s the right approach: fight the virus, not each other.
Somewhere along the way, lots of people got lost and became too confused to see what this situation is about.
I’m happy to see you’re doing very well!

Always a pleasure, Brenda.
It is often forgotten that ‘ethnic cleansing’ and cultural suppression, including the Gaelic language, took place in the Scottish Highlands following the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion.
And this by the government of what was already a ‘United’ Kingdom.

I can’t forget why the Irish and Scottish diaspora took place since my husband and I are products of it. Sometimes people’s anger goes back centuries. I’m still not sure if that’s useful or not, rational or not. But it is.
