Happy New Year!

to recognize stars
in winter wastes

to perceive wisdom
along my path

to create art
instead of worry

Notes: Happy New Year to my blogging friends all over the world. We celebrated with scones, sausages, fruit, and a puffy pancake that we call a Dutch Baby. What special holiday meal are you having? Do you have New Year resolutions? May your wishes turn into actions that makes your life better.

  1. I made waffles this morning (from scratch), and bacon… is that a special holiday meal? I’m not making any resolutions or goals right now, because life is so unpredictable in general. I don’t know where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing at the end of the year; I’d like for things to get back to normal, but if they don’t, starting over somewhere else might be preferable to waiting around here.

  2. I like the resolve of “creating art instead of worry.”
I often write a poem (probably not very good art) when I have a worry or concern or maybe even anger. It does help to ease the pain or give a new perspective. And by the time I’ve got everything to rhyme, I have forgotten to worry. 😉
