resolved,
to recognize stars
in winter wastes
resolved,
to perceive wisdom
along my path
resolved,
to create art
instead of worry

Notes: Happy New Year to my blogging friends all over the world. We celebrated with scones, sausages, fruit, and a puffy pancake that we call a Dutch Baby. What special holiday meal are you having? Do you have New Year resolutions? May your wishes turn into actions that makes your life better.
Buon Anno! 😃🌈

I’m still feeling the New Year vibe. Although it’s feeling like 2020 again. (Ugh!)

I share your resolve. Looking up to the stars, following a path of kindness and compassion, seeking the beauty in all things. Happy New Year – looking forward to the journey ahead. Hugs!

I enjoyed the podcast-conversation you and Klausbernd had about color. I’m thinking of painting in yellow — healing from a hard year. 🙂

I made waffles this morning (from scratch), and bacon… is that a special holiday meal? I’m not making any resolutions or goals right now, because life is so unpredictable in general. I don’t know where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing at the end of the year; I’d like for things to get back to normal, but if they don’t, starting over somewhere else might be preferable to waiting around here.

Your waffles and bacon sound special to me. Starting over is a good thing to think about at the New Year. Starting fresh.

I like the resolve of “creating art instead of worry.”
I often write a poem (probably not very good art) when I have a worry or concern or maybe even anger. It does help to ease the pain or give a new perspective. And by the time I’ve got everything to rhyme, I have forgotten to worry. 😉

It’s meditative, and should be for the many, not the few. There seems to be an attitude that art should be only for the highly talented few. But I think it should be for the many. Why else does everyone have hands?

Sometimes the “highly talented” art doesn’t seem so highly talented. lol
It takes years and years to unlearn some things we’ve been taught. We need to believe in ourselves more.

It helps if our families or friends believe in us, too. IT’s hard to go it alone.

Happy New Year Brenda. Being in lockdown and with no possibility to visit relatives and friends we prepared nothing special, but a tasty home made panettone with figs and chocolate. Cheers.

Yum. A little cake never made things worse, unless you’re Marie Antoinette. 😉
