A rain, rain, go-away morning,
and its less mellow-fellow,
a gloom-and-doom,
thunder-and-lightning noon,
soon bursts into a
hello-yellow-sunshine afternoon,
when forsythia blooms.
Because even a gray day
can’t stay that way.
