Missing Migrators

flying flocks disappeared south,

Notes: Perhaps I’m not as busy as birds on migration, but I’m still feeling the pinch of cold winter days and less daylight. But I’m grateful to share my yard over-winter with sparrows, cardinals and blue jays. A few sparrows shelter in my roofline, and their constant chatter reminds me that spring is coming. This photograph was taken 8 years ago on Cape Cod — hard to believe so much time has passed.
