in uncovered ears,
ice-flakes tickle and tease
driven by bitter winds

Notes: According to the forecasters, the polar vortex split. Arctic air brings a long-awaited white winter to New England. Tree branches creak and snap. Even the most meagre bush bows its head to the heavy snow. Hope you’re all safe and warm.
This is beautiful, puts me into the creative vibe ❤️

I thought we’d be getting more, but Texas is instead. How weird! Instead, we’re getting the rain.

i do love the feeling of being safe and warm inside. and on my little trips to school or the park it feels invigorating. it always makes me worry about those who do not have a warm place to be.

Yes, I’m grateful that my heat died last winter not this one. It wasn’t so cold last winter, and we managed with a few space heaters. This year, no way would that have worked. But with no home at all? I can’t imagine it.

I love looking at Sunny Florida, but you’re right that snow is real for us right now in New England! For sure! Storm after storm of it.
