when the weight carried
presses me into the ground
I have to let go
let go of anxieties —
spring comes around again

Notes: Still job hunting and worried that unemployment benefits will be cut off. I know I’m not alone in this situation. This photo is from spring, when my columbine were a violet blur amongst the re-blooming lilacs, hosta and yew. Although the color has faded, it will be back next year. As the days shorten and the year slides toward chillier days, I still look for the magic. I hope you do, too.
Flowers give us a reason to smile!

Yes. Too bad the snow eventually takes them.

I’M SURE MY WIFE’S NEED FOR A HOUSEKEEPER/ORGANIZER IS WELL BELOW BRENDA’S PAY GRADE…PLUS THE COMMUTE TIME! TOO BAD—IT WOULD BE NICE TO ACTUALLY MEET A WORDPRESS POET “FOR REAL”! ❤ COLUMBINE—FOR IT WE'LL MAKE THE TIME! AS DOES SHE!

A nice thought, but I suspect you are too far away. I am my family’s housekeeper and organizer, though, for sure. I find that the more you get rid of, the easier the task becomes. 🙂

Thanks! I hope so, too. 🙂 Meanwhile, I’m going to try cooking some new recipes in my new kitchen. Maybe I’ll find magic there, too.
