Secret Spot

under green light,
a silent reverie,
shielded from sight

Notes: The kids were playing hide-and-seek in the children’s garden, but I had a delicious mind-wandering reverie. Being unplugged has become something to treasure.

Happy Poetry Friday and thanks to Tabatha Yeatts at The Opposite of Indifference for hosting.

  1. I, too, like the word “reverie.” Did you know it’s from Middle French “rever” and “raver” meaning “to wander, be delirious.” So it’s a perfectly apt word for hanging around in the greenery without electronic distraction! 😉
