Water Nymph

Bronze statue of young girl

still maiden
sentinel spruces enfold
green glen, act three

nymph poised, dry of tears
echoes of ghostly fountain

  2. The two last verse really resonated with me… at the same time , your poem brought me back to Greek Mythology and reminded me of Narcissus and Echo, somehow!… nicely penned, dear Bren… love & best wishes. Aquileana 😀

  3. Miss Water Nymph is solemn and may have cried, but her tears are dry now. The time is remembered, the season will bring dry leaves falling to replace the tears. The colors will dance and brighten the season and remind us those who are gone have joy once again. 🙂
