Petals dizzy
Curled,
Whirled,
Flowers budded,
Tightly furled.
Petals soft as silk,
Aromas sing,
Memories of bees —
Brought to my knees,
Longing for spring.

Note: This is dedicated to florists and flowers growers everywhere, who give those of us in snow clogged Northern states the illusion of spring for a few moments of zing. I’m not going to be on-line much for about a week. I’ll be out of town at a children’s writer’s conference. π Have a great week!
Gorgeous! A beautiful post for spring π x

Most definitely a feeling of flowers and Spring!! π We are so lucky these days to be able to have flowers in our homes whenever we want them. I guess that’s why people many years ago had evergreen plants and berries in their homes as decoration. We really take those lovely florals and the people who grow them for granted.

Lovely poem which adds its own brightness to the day .. And Flowers bring us all so much love during our lives.. As they give of their lives to be part of ours from the florist shop..
They are given at our Birth.. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, and when we feel a little unwell, they bring us upliftment.. they come to say sorry, and they come just as surprise.. And they come at our departing to say farewell..
One has to be ever grateful for flowers..
Enjoy your conference.. and take care… Hugs Sue xox β€
