Autumn is under way
Come party with the late blooms
Dance till Jack Frost comes

Note: Despite having snow flurries on Sunday, we still have blooms here and there. This poem is a haiku, with five, seven and five syllables on each line.
Great pictures – we have a few flowers here and there but not many – they’ve mostly gone on their annual skiing holiday.

Still have a few flowers left. The herb garden is still going strong except for the basil. Basil is wimpy compared to sage and oregano.

Yes – it’s sitting there shivering, dreaming of its Mediterranean motherland, no doubt. Bring it in, in a pot, and keep it in the kitchen – it keeps the flies away.

An indoor herb garden in a thought. Perhaps I will have space for that when the kids are grown. Right now, we have school papers and art supplies everywhere. 🙂

amazing how those last blooms, so beautiful, can hold out, even in challenging, weather, refusing to go just yet.

Big, fat flakes fell all day. The ground was too warm, and it all melted away. Yeah, to no shoveling!! But it was pretty!

Me, too! I have snapdragons that are blooming again, as if it were spring. Whether or not it’s confused, I like that it’s there. LOL
