Notes: Here’s an old favorite poem after I spent a back-breaking evening cleaning away contractor dust from our newly renovated kitchen, and yay! It’s looking spiffy, but more importantly, the fridge doesn’t freeze the veggies, the stove won’t burn the house down, and the drawers all work. It’s the little things…. I’m not going to dwell on politics tonight. I’m just too tired and happy. May all of you find a little magic in the things around you that actually work like they are supposed to. 🙂
Lovely thanks for sharing

Plenty of painting still happening around here. 😉 The hubby sealed our slate floor yesterday. Stinky!

How lovely, Brenda. Autumn was always my favorite season. Congrats on the new kitchen! I know how much that means. After 10 years in DC with a horrible kitchen… yes, I get it. The kitchen in my high desert cottage is not new, but it’s a thousand times better than what I dealt with before. Yay for the new kitchen! Hugs on the wing.

Thank you! And we had 17 years in our old kitchen as it died, piece by piece. But really, we should mourn it because I made lots of good food there until the stove died. I’m glad for you that you are in good digs.

Yay! It sure is. Now I just have to move everything back to where it goes. 🙂 And pay for it all. 😉

Absolutely. Sometimes we have to put aside our outrage and disappointments and just be happy to be alive.
