Texture of stone,
leaf and stem —
each vivid color,
a priceless gem.

Notes: A little ditty for a hectic month. School’s started, my workload doubled, my kids are growing and changing. Nothing stays the same, except photographs. This picture was in high summer and stays as bright as the day I took it.
Happy Poetry Friday and thanks to Linda B at TeacherDance for hosting!
It’s the truth! You have a wonderful way with very few words, dear Brenda!

Beautiful image and lyrical words touching the soul. I may be wrong but the plant is something we Indians call Betel use to worship:)
