Cherry trees dream of
nests hidden by blossoms,
the hum of baby bluebirds
soft on grass and feather,
but I dream of a world
of clean oceans and air,
where scientists are heard
and evidence is trusted.

Notes: I’m in the mood for spring, now that March 21 is nearly here and it was 50 degrees recently. But we are still knee-deep in snow.
Happy Poetry Friday and thanks to Heidi Mordhorst for hosting. This poem is dedicated to her initiative to raise awareness in support of teen girls who are leading the worldwide School Strike for Climate.
