Notes: December is proving to be the busiest month of the year. Again. I don’t know why it still surprises me. Hope everyone in the South is warm and safe.

Lovely. I hope you have a chance to slow down during the holiday period.

Sadly, no. I only get Christmas Day off, and then the rest will be work days.

We get unlimited paid time off, but I can’t take it this December. Maybe no December.

I’d rather read your blog than so many other things. This is a delight. Much needed!

I enjoyed your blog, too. Teaching is a good way of becoming a better writer. You are constantly thinking about what works and what doesn’t. I always think you have to start with story, need and emotion. Then the words can be found to tell the story.

Wonderful analysis of story! I love it – need and emotion! Without those, it’s not a story, right? Love it!

Best of luck to you with your own writing. So hard to find time and energy with so many other demands on our time.

MMmmmm….so true. But do not worry…spring will find its way back to your home, full of scents and visions that will make your head whirl.

On a day like today, warm days do sound wonderful. But when the warm days return I know I think about the cold, wistfully. Why can’t we be content like flowers? 😉
