In a desert of green,
manicured lawns
an oasis of color blooms
beside a burbling pool
above darting orange fish.
Gilded by fairies,
dancing like cattails,
a party on every breeze,
purple spires blur my senses
into forgetting autumn,
for one magical
moment.

Lovely bright verse and colour to stir my thoughts this morning as my own corner of the world goes barren in December. Lovely 🙂

It’s getting harder to find color daily. 🙂 But I keep trying.

Beautiful cacti, are you visiting or traveling!? This doesn’t look like something in the U.S. East. . . 🙂

I think it was a late-blooming flower rather than a cactus. I’m not familiar with it, but I was at a horticultural center, and they have every variety known to man. 🙂

Glad you like it. I read about Trump’s tax plan, and I needed to revisit summer.
