Moons

Moon jelly fish Aurelia Aurita

Moon jellies drift,
pulsing and aglow,
in between
water and air.
A ballet of stingers
orbits the solitary
reaches of the great
oceans.

Do they call the moon
their father?
Or search for its reflection
on churning waves?
Did the moon
create them,
adding its spark of
divine?

Note: I found these beautiful Moon jelly fish (Aurelia aurita) at the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center. This poem is for NaPoWriMo. Have a magical week!

Warmly, Brenda
