Leaf
Falling,
Citrine dream.
Windy swirling,
Gold honey blizzard,
Swirls of a fairy’s cloak.
Restless spirits soar higher
With each dancing leaf falling down
To the shifting, shadowy hemline.
Surfeit of beauty looking at fall’s gown.

Note: This poem is an Etheree, starting with one syllable on the first line and increasing to ten, one syllable per line.
This shaped poem has it all encapsulated in it! I always like the words “citrine” and “honey” in because I picture the color and the mood of sweetness, too. The gown reference is excellent, Brenda!

I was afraid I had mixed too many metaphors, but I just loved the color so much, I tried to do right by it. 🙂

Hi! Yes here they always bloom. Are you in snowy territory where it’s white for four months? Never have seen a white Christmas..

We do have white Christmases some years, and it is beautiful. I will be sure to take a lot of pictures this year. 🙂 In the past I only took pictures of my kids.

In 56 years I’ve seen snow two times in San Fran. And maybe 10 times on hills of Bay Area… Inch at most.. Everything is relative

You do have great food in the Bay Area. And amazing hillsides of flowering shrubs.

That we do! They have these food trucks that assemble at designated places and they close the streets down. Asian fusion fast food or Egyptian food. It’s cool.

It looks glorious. I wasn’t sure that was one of your own photos. It looks like a calendar scene or postcard perfect. So gorgeous. No wonder your words were inspired. :)x

They are excellent. I don’t take photos well. Not enough practice. I’m requesting a camera from Santa. See if I can begin to make up for lost time. ;)x
