Thank you! Wow, I’ve never been asked that before. I’ve read translations of Japanese Haiku, I’ve read Basho, Frost, Dickenson, Plath, Wright and many anthologies of many other poets. I studied poetry in college, contemporary, older and Irish. I still read them occasionally, I like to read them then stop and think.
They are angel wings or caladium. In my area, they are annuals, which means they are very rare. I grew some last year from gifts, and they were very beautiful. These are a neighbor’s.

🙂 Sometimes, when I have time, I like to sit out in my enclosed porch and listen to the rain.

Ah – how lovely, and there must always be time for beauty! 😀
Those leaves are beautiful too, very unusual – to me anyway! What kind of plant is it?

Thanks! The dark waking is the worst part of rainy days for me, but the beauty of the day is always a solace.

Yes! When it’s super dark in the morning that’s no fun but I work late so I don’t have to experience heading to work in the dark…
