Thanks! Fall is such a bittersweet time, the end of the summer with my kids, time to start preparing plants for winter and focusing on work more steadily. I bet you work hard all summer long hours.
Wonderful, you are so welcome! I am listening to Call me Maybe from your website, it’s one of my favorites. 🙂 “You’re in my way, I beg, borrow and steal… hot night, wind was blowing… this is crazy.” Love it!
You read my words. I read yours too. I’m going to whittle down the sites I follow. Yours will remain:) I believe some people like sites just to have theirs followed. Somedays I get a max of five visits.
I need to do that, too. Unfortunately, I can’t always match up all the blog names, gravatars, http addresses. They can all be different. I don’t want to accidentally unfollow a friend. I tend to remember commenters… Hugs, omtatjuan, you do what you need to do! Brenda
We barely get any seasons here…it’s still hot hot hot! So I love your photos because I do love fall. That red leaf on stones is just perfect. I want to keep staring at it!
I stopped in my tracks. I must have taken 20 shots of that leaf, hoping it would not be blurry. I didn’t look up and see the tree shot until I went by later on my way home. Again, I had to just stop. I love the fall, actually, the colors and coolness and constant flux. Things are going to sleep, and I am a woman who loves to sleep. 🙂
My pleasure! I personally am untroubled by Friday the 13th, sort of the ultimate in scary days. Come to think of it, I don’t seek it out, but the worry doesn’t get much play in my head either. I just can’t focus on that for long. I prefer to think in 5’s, my lucky number. 🙂 Ah, spring, that’s a lovely time of year. But fall has it’s charms.
We are still going through cold breeze now and it still is more winter than spring at the moment. 🙂 I am not too worry about 13 although I won’t buy a house number 13 !
Exactly. I won’t cross the road to acquire a 13, but If the elevator stops at 13, and it’s for me, I shrug off any worries almost immediately. I won’t name a child thirteen either. 🙂
I hear you. For me the sadness doesn’t come from the changing of the season or the cold, but from the realization that next summer, my kids will all be a year older with their baby days long past. That just make me feel a tinge of sadness for the passing of a great summer when we all have lots of time together. I really enjoy my kids.
Oh my gosh-your trees are turning already?! Great photographs-especially that stunning red leaf in the center of the stones-beautiful, beautiful image!
Thanks! That’s the first tree I’ve seen, the rest are still green. But it twisted my heart. Next summer, the kids will all be older, and my oldest will be a teen. Sigh for the passing of the days… Warmly, Brenda
This was my first cold morning walk where red leaves were beginning to fall. The rain was bringing them down. I was a bit sad. Happy the pictures turned out well, though. 🙂
Very apt! I saw the first leaf fall at the weekend, I can’t believe autumn is here already! Lovely words and photos 🙂 x
