Hello and welcome to the virtual home of Brenda Davis Harsham, award-winning Author and Children’s poet.

Together with her fantastic husband and three story-telling children, she enjoys the unpredictability of life in New England.

Her ever-growing Publications page keeps track of where her stories and poetry may be found in the wild — anthologies and journals and magazines, oh my!

Art Prints are Available at Society6

Occasionally, her busy schedule allows time for school or club visits. Puppets shows with audience participation are her specialty. But don’t ask her to read her poetry! She loves that WAY too much. Craft of Writing workshops are available, one-day or longer as negotiated.

Her fine art photography is available for purchase on the Society6 website, including an Abstracts in Nature series.

She is not soliciting manuscripts from children at this time, but a few are available in the By&4Kids group by clicking here.

  3. Hi Brenda, 🙂

A re you open to participate in Virtual Blog Tours. This one is for writers. In essence, a blogger/writer will feature three writer friends and the latter will each feature three writer friends in their blog posts. I thought of you because your writing is unique. Yours is the only one I have seen that does original fairy tales. If you wish to have an idea what this blog tour is about, you can check out Laurie Kolp’s page – http://lkharris-kolp.blogspot.com/ . Just lave me a note here – imeldasantore@gmail.com – for details.

Thank you very much. Have a great day.

    Best regards, Imelda

  6. A Wax Tale for you: The old goat knew the face of death. Too many of his flock now gone. He learned to feign illness by eating the wrong foods. It made him look strange and that made him undesirable.
He ate a rubber boot when they first came and rubber did not agree with him.
The butchers decided not to take a chance and took others instead.
The next time he ate the leaves of a plant which causes rashes and they again did not bother him.
Finally he was old and they thought his flesh would be tough and not tasty.

I also love the garden picture with the pink flower in your hair. Pink flowers are magic to me and my partner in thinkingpinkx2, Michelle Marie. I would like to put that pic of you on our Pink blog. Would that be okay? Love your magical brain. Jeanne Marie

  17. Hello!
Thank you for following my blog. I know how many interesting blogs are out there and feel honored that you picked mine to follow. I hope my stories entertain and inform and my photos bring you joy and wonderment.
I travel mostly local but try to always find interesting places. I have lived in several different places and dig through my archives of photos to bring glimpses into places I have been. Sometimes I post a recipe because food tells a lot about culture.
I am not a professional photographer, so my photos are sometimes a little fuzzy and there are telephone poles and wires and other things along with what I was photographing. The older photos are 35mm, the newer are point and shoot digital and a few are Samsung Smartphone.
I am new to blogging so if you have any advice or critique please drop me a comment.
Thank you again for following and to quote Mark Twain: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” – Mark Twain

    • I love what I’ve seen of your work. I love to travel, too, and I use my photos to illustrate my stories and poems. Mostly I go for long walks as often as I can, and I take lots of photos along the way. I also think Mark Twain is awesome. Cheers, Brenda
