warm Atlanta days
fall leaves and cornbread cooking
last December

Notes: I visited Atlanta for the first time last December. The weather was similar to October in Boston — warm with a pleasant nip in the air. I enjoyed catfish, cornbread and a tour of the Georgia Aquarium. My hotel was across from the Margaret Mitchell House (shown in the photo). Georgia is on my mind. There were beautiful buildings, art, the scents of delicious food on every corner.
The smell of cornbread brought back memories of my grandfather-in-law and the many times we shared cornbread drizzled with Sorghum molasses on my visits to Kentucky. He lived to be over 100. Scent memories are the strongest, and I’ll never forget his cornbread.
I hope everyone had a moment to remember happy times and people you love.
how beautiful, the memories of your family centurion. I love the ‘scent’ of your haiku.

It is hard to find time, but I do love my blogging friends and the quiet peacefulness of it.
