If you’re feeling sad or scared about the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, you’re not alone. I found hope in the news that the Taliban has declared an amnesty and invited women to participate in government. When women are allowed to move freely and achieve financial stability, the whole society profits from its children being raised by unafraid mothers. Children need their families to be secure and unafraid.
