clues hide in daily chaos,
but I can’t focus

Notes: Sometimes the thing we’ve been focused on for so long was only the side story. The main event was happening all around us, but we nearly missed it. Does that ever happen to you? Afterwards, when I put the clues together, I feel silly for not having seen it sooner. In the end, it’s all about focus.

I’m grateful for my laundry, folded. My dishes, done. My dinner, cooked by someone else. My water glass, not yet empty. And my hope, not yet spent. 😉

Sometimes it’s the ‘hurry’ of things, then in slowing down, the picture clears. I love the way you made us think with your words and that picture, Brenda!

Are you back at a day job? Didn’t you have a night job? I’m not sure if I should be happy or sad.

Had to go for Disability. That job was eliminated and I just didn’t have it to go on to the next one. Have been collecting Disability payments since November, 2018. Gotta move on.!

Yeah…admitting it and having the guts to release control is the hardest part. I bristle even now, when the wife “helps” when I consider that somethng I can do—or know—myself. 🙂

‘Ppreciate the kin word. A day at a time…or planning a ride at least 3 days ahead—if the ride paperwork’s been approved! Diana has depended on me—without question—for getting her where she needs to go. It’s tough on her and me when she has to face times when I won’t be able to handle driving. The Lord (and MassHealth) will provide! 🙂

Oh, as others have said, I can SO relate! Thanks, Brenda – there’s comfort in blurry company when we’re stretched in a few too many directions, trying to refocus.

You illustrate yourself so magnificently with that photograph, Brenda. In daily life, it can be really hard to spot the most important details. That old hindsight being 20/20 thing.
