Ruffled Petals

Ruffled red petals,
taut with youth,
reveal, then conceal

fragmented, silken
passionwords sipped
from salted lips.

Rosy hips,
nectar kisses, and
perfumed sighs.

Closed eyes, so unwise.

Notes: Happy Saturday Night! Okay, really it’s Sunday morning. A date-night with the hubby, remembered romance, and I’ve created a new Friendly Fairy Tales category — romance. A touch of summer love for the romance-seekers, looking for magic and music, birdsong and beeswax, flowers and frolics, among the ferns. If you like my new category, let me know.
