Brenda, I have no desire at all to move north, to get back into a climate where snow and freezing rain, and sleet and otherwise crappy weather are the norm for 4 months a year. But damn if I don’t miss all the spring time flowers. Thank you for sharing the lovely picture. Take care, Bill
LOL You can’t fool me. I bet you have flowers year round. It isn’t the same as them spring forth after snow, snow, ice, wind and rain. It always seems like a miracle. Hugs, Brenda
I love these do they smell like grape? Around my childhood home were Irises they were every where. IN the Spring like about now you could smell grape scent so so sweetly. When I saw this it reminded me of that! Great memory! Beautiful photo Brenda
I can’t wait for Irises in my neck of the woods to bloom…. for me, it is always the sign that there is no going back, spring really has sprung…. they are beautiful!
Yes, I usually don’t see them this early, the big ones won’t bloom for weeks. I have some pink irises I moved, and I’m hoping this year they finally bloom again.
we have those too! I just love them. And your sweet haiku. Supposed to snow here today! yuk. Enough already.

I’ll have to go back and sniff. These darlings are so low to the ground, I didn’t catch any scent at all. 🙂
