Fall
Seedpods
Sticky Blooms
Carried by birds
Scattered by rainstorms
Sticking to animals
Silk expanding on breezes
Tiny hopes for the plant’s future
Carrying next year’s dreams, hearts aloft
Dormant all winter, waiting to burst forth.
