Snow on holly branches,
icy cold freezing my nose —
it’s January.
Tiny bird prints on my porch,
a deer is still and silent —
hope for spring.

Notes: Even picking up a package from my porch is a hard, tiring business when I have the flu. I didn’t have the energy for new photos, so this is an old one. My daughter’s public school is a petrie dish of viruses. I don’t know how teachers and school staff do it – my hat 🧑🏻🎄 is off to them.
I hope all my blogging friends are doing well and will have a wonderful, healthy New Year!
Having the flu is awful and I’m sorry for what you’re going through. Hopefully you’re feeling better each day. Big a great start to the new year.

Acquired immunity is the thing. I never had a day off ill when I was a teacher. A back operation yes, but illness no.

Hope you feel better soon — strongly recommending Sambucus chewables to help ward off and revive from these tough flu strains. Some good info on it here: https://draxe.com/nutrition/elderberry/

Good to see you and sorry you’re so ill. Beautiful calm. As a teacher, I built up my immunity each year, although those kids always carried something a little different each year.
