Flour paste and
a smile sewn
hide an orange face
because hiding
one’s true colors
is the monster way,
today of all days.
Shocks and thrills,
screams and frills,
ghastly ghosts,
witchy hosts.
Happy Halloween,
things seen and unseen!

Notes: Watching the news has made today even spookier. Indictments, accusations and denials, oh my! Kudos to the Mueller team for their timing. What fascinating drama. (Sad for our country that it has come to this. But today is a day for making glad from sad.)
Happy Halloween. Love the poem that intrigue and sends a mystery chill. The pumpkin awesome decorated to reflect Halloween.
