Fairy satellite dishes —
Hibiscus dishes — bring wishes,
Bored fairy wing swishes.
Then she hears a message from Queen Mab.
Fairy Della no longer sad and drab —
Delighted with the urgent mission,
Della hurries with an exciting frisson:
She has the spring fairy ball to plan.
She must hide the location from man.
Della has more spring in her step
And joy in the plan kept.
Counting on fingers — only 20 days left.
All the fairies are humming,
Woo-hoo, spring is coming!!

A little rhyming inspired by Dr. Seuss
whose birthday is coming tomorrow I’ve heard. The title is a nod to his Ish Wish Dish. 🙂
Delightful poem, beautiful flower!

Only you would see the satellite dish! Now I see it too. We just had an ice storm in McKinney Texas. It was almost 80 yesterday. Yikes!

Yikes! We are due for 6-8 inches overnight, still falling during the commute. We’ll see if it arrives. I might have a post in mind for you…

Wasn’t it an amazing flower? It was on a whole big bush in florida, full and green, but it was the only bloom. All the rest were tightly furled, still buds. This one bloom heralded the arrival of spring. Sadly we have to wait so much longer up in New England. But the kids and I had a lovely break in Florida. 🙂 Thanks for commenting, I treasure your words. Warmly, Brenda

Yes, only 20 days!! 19 on my calendar, but for some reason I can’t be brought to believe the equinox is on the 20h and not the 21st. Irrational, but there it is. 🙂

LOL You’ll have to ask my kids. I’m afraid they prefer hanging out with me to going to school or just about anywhere else. I’m kinda crazy regularly. In a good way, though, I think. And yes, imagination is our game.
