Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in violet haze
— Don McLean, from Starry, Starry Night
(describing Van Gogh’s painting)
November night,
Incandescent, magic sight,
Transcendent with light.

Oh, how I love that word, “transcendent!” I like to be transported into a magical land such as this, seeing much more than shown, using my imagination… I have a fairy tale about winter that I will be writing today. I could not help taking a little bit of this picture and imagining Jack Frost with his magical frost. I hope it comes out “original” enough….

November is certainly very magic, so many changes, building up to winter, and Christmas – and sparkly trees! 😀 I used to love trees with lights on when I was little. We never kept Christmas in our house, because of a church my parents were members of at the time, so no incandescent magic or trees with lights in our home. I think lit up trees will always be a real favourite of mine, and this time of year they really do start appearing – everywhere!! Lovely picture too! 😀

I do love the sparkling lights. So often now, people don’t take the time to drape a tree with so many lights, and these were really outstanding and bright. Arresting. 🙂 Thanks for your comment. Christmas has such magic, I am happy we celebrated it in my house.

Thanks! I was just thinking no one even saw my Haiku in such illustrious company. The tree was so bright I didn’t need a flash. LOL
