call me weed,
say nay, you’re not wanted,
still I’ll rise
I walk like I have the wildwood
and singing birds in my heart

Notes: A poem inspired by a hopeful maple, trying to reclaim someone’s yard for the forests, and a poem by Maya Angelou, Still I Rise, which has the spirit to overcome, to achieve, to shine and to be beautiful doing it. Feeling gratitude for all the wonderful thinkers and poets who share their words with the world and make it a more magical place where we don’t have to feel alone.
