Winter Silence

the silence of snow,
a cathedral of stillness,
until snowplows roar

Copyright 2021 Brenda Davis Harsham

Notes: Where the seasons follow, one after the other, each has sounds that can be as startling as the color changes. During a winter storm, before snowplows find our quiet road, the silence is deeper than the stillness of any other season, quieter than any church.
