November’s damp chill
settles into my bones
despite weak sunshine
row upon row of flags

Notes: My father-in-law has a peaceful spot in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. We visited and left sunflowers. I intended to post about it for Veteran’s Day, but I was too sad. We visited the nearby coastline afterwards, but covid is making simple trips so complicated. A belated thanks to the Veterans. Never forgotten.
