strung with free jewels,
even lily of the valley
has diva-shine
choose to see jewels and
nothing keeps you down

Stunning! One needs only to wear this poem: in their heart, to the Gala, with their gown.

Thanks, Michelle. I’m trying to make every word be just right. It’s a picture book writer skill that I’m always working on.

How is your wife?

Well…long story short, she came home from the hospital today with a new port for her dialysis..after a couple tries to clean out the one she had. She was booted off Medicaid because of someone misinterpreting a form she was urged to sign…BEFORE she really turned 65—dealing with AFTER she turned 65. She’s only 64. She can get dialysis—just not the rides to and from, paid for by MASSHEALTH. What a mess! Something to clear up AFTER July 4th! 😀

I hope it’s sorted soon. Happy 4th, meanwhile.

Brenda, we’ve had an enormous amount of rain. Your jewels are helping me to see the beauty in it.

“choose to see jewels” is the phrase I needed most this morning. There is so much that is not-jewel in our world today…but the jewels are still there. We must find them and celebrate them. Thank you.

Brenda, I am in awe of your photo that fits so nicely with some others that were sent to me for my Spring Splendor Gallery. You can see the sneak peek at https://beyondliteracylink.blogspot.com/2019/06/early-morning-gray-day-warning-quiet.html. I would be thrilled if you sent me yours. “strung with free jewels”-that is what nature offers us.

Great photo–and anything that makes lilies-of-the valley shine is all good! I was taking similar photos last week of solomon’s seal with rain drops. Magical!

This is a powerful truth,

I’ve been trying to keep this in mind as school winds down for the year. It helps a lot! It turns the daily grind into a celebration!

“Choose to see jewels and nothing keeps you down” sounds beautiful. Powerful line (I can imagine a hero in a fairy tale saying this!)

I hope it’s not a dying hero’s last words. 🙂

If they were, then at least the hero would die advocating for the beauty of life 🙂
