a walk at noon
rare break from my desk,
light steps

Notes: Because of my bad back, I am getting away from my computer more. Even a short walk adds so much light to my life. Perhaps even a little magic.
Happy Poetry Friday and thanks to Elizabeth Steinglass for hosting the roundup!

Hope your back is on the mend soon, sounds like your getting some relief from your comment above, I hope it continues to improve.

Thanks! Another chiropractor appt tomorrow. I’m on the mend. It’s amazing what they can do with a couple of wedges.

My son has a concert. Listening to his cello will help, too.

Your poem is lovely, Brenda, and as someone who suffers arthritic back and neck pain, I concur that movement and keeping things as loose as possible is definitely best. Hope you’re feeling better soon!

Away from the desk allows us to be part of the magic of life at a place we can notice and wonder, Brenda. Your special place is lovely. I could get lost in thoughts there. I shared one of your autumn poems at my post today (Abundant Autumn Sneak Peak).

Nice! Your photo reminds me of a special little place up here I’ve frequented since I was a kid. And the poem is a good reminder for me to take those all-important breaks!

I just came in from sweeping the porch, a step away is a good thing. If you have that scene you’ve shared, even better.
