like a yellow house on a gray street,
hope shines
through any twilight

I love the poem. It brought back memories of a yellow house that I once lived in.

I need some hope, too, Molly. Maybe we can shore each other up.

Thanks for your warm colors of “hope” Brenda. Writing and looking out my window get me going, but sometimes make me late too…

I don’t have time for blogging most days now. I have to squeeze in a few posts where I have time. I don’t know how long I can keep it going. Financial pressures always interfere with art.

Thanks, Dan. This time of year, I have to visit florists for my color fix. 🙂

My children! As in they literally get me up every morning, but they also make me WANT to get up every morning and be my best self.

May we never give up Hope.. I watch the birds, who get up not knowing where their next meal is coming from, and face all the elements of the weather thrown at them. Yet they chirp merrily away.
Love and Blessings Brenda.. Wishing you all the very best for this New Year.

So true, we should be as happy as birds.

Besides chocolate? Right now it’s hard to do anything, since our weather is so horrible.

Yellow roses and optimism remind me of my mother (the dark side being head in the sand oblivion). I suppose what gets me up each morning, aside from having to pee, is some combination of delusion and hope.

Mmm, the intersection of delusion, hope and faith. Whole lifetimes could fail to delineate and differentiate between those.

I had to smile at the truth of your comment, Esays. Although sometimes many choose the thorns with the rose and hope for more or accept what is, it’s important to know that rote functions start many a day: stretching, pee, brushing teeth, delusional thinking, or hope. And we have these rights, even on our last day.

🙂 so glad it made you smile Pam! And yes, we get to choose every single day of our lives down to the last. What a gift!

Hope is only delusion until you succeed. Then it’s genius.
