Notes: This photograph is of the money plant, or Lunaria, which was brought to the New World on the Mayflower, apparently. The seeds might be covered in soil, fallen leaves, acorn shells, snow, rain and dust, but they will know when to grow.

Lost my heat yesterday, so I was really hoping for spring. Today, 50’s and raining. Oddly spring-like. 🙂

My mother in law gave me a few of the money tree petals when I first got married – 40 years ago – that I still keep in my wallet to this day. —CC

They are so pretty. I have some dried seed pods in my living room.

We have one of these plants in our back yard. I’ve been thinking about it because some of the leaves have hung on well into this winter.
