a garden bench
and warm sunshine are now
an exotic dream

Notes: I’m still using photos from summer and fall rather than the gray photos I could be using from today. I wrote this Tuesday when the sidewalks were briefly white before rain melted the snow away. Meanwhile, I’m still thinking of summer. Do you ever wonder what hibernating animals dream about in their long winters? Maybe they dream of gardens blooming, too.

DO ANIMALS DREAM? HOPEFULLY NOT OF THEIR NEXT DINNER! GREAT EXOTIC IDEA—AND FLOWER IN THIS PICTURE!

Dogs always seem to be chasing squirrels in their dreams.

So I hear…according to their owners. 🙂

I’ve witnessed it myself, the paws churning, and the whining in their sleep.

I’ve noticed some cats do this too!

My neighbor has an amazing garden, even into late autumn. I believe one of the other commenters knew what it was.

I love them! I had them last year and can’t wait to find different colors this year. I don’t think spring is ever gonna get here. Great pic!

My oldest son want to move somewhere warm. Sad to think winters may drive him away from the area for good soon.

I’m with you. It snowed all day yesterday and all night. I can’t wait until it’s warm and flowers are blooming again.

Beautiful coxcomb. We use this to decorate our homes for Chinese Lunar New Year as red symbolises good luck and abundance. 😃

That is an auspicious color then. 🙂 It’s hard to photograph red without it being oversaturated, so I was very pleased with this photo.

They were predicting a very stormy winter here, but we haven’t seen that happen yet.

There was a mention of snow next week? But Europe seems to have bourn the brunt.

It does seem as if Europe and the US alternate having winter storms, year by year.
