missing the color,
the sunshine in my veins
that warms the days

You have a wonderful way with words! Spring will be here soon enough!

Too true. I shouldn’t wish the days away. But I do wish the cold away.

Brenda, Thank you for your reminder that spring is just around the corner. It feels strange to not have any snow yet, but then last year we didn’t get much here, it seemed to run out further South. We just have bitter cold days and freezing nights again but with Global Warming I’m surprised we haven’t had more rain or snow with the cold.
Anyway, I wish you a very happy 2019, may you remain blessed and upbeat to keep us all going throughout the coming months until Spring arrives again, with new buds and leaves reappearing on the trees.
Dave.

Thanks, Dave. We haven’t gotten much snow except for an occasional dusting. My daughter has her fingers crossed hoping for a snow day. I hope school is out earlier. 🙂

We never used to have snow days when I was at school, in fact even during a bus strike we used to either get lifts from teachers or walk to school in freezing conditions and snow. Must have been made of sterner stuff then as now when the weather turns cold I just want to stay at home, wrapped in a quilt, and keep warm.

I remember walking to school in a blizzard. Only about 10 feet of visibility. Snow was blowing UP into my face. 🙂

We were definitely much stronger than the kids of today.

We believed in ourselves more anyway. I feel like kids are more aware of the world’s problems and don’t believe in their ability to make a difference enough.

I still feel that I can make a difference, not on my own but by joining with others who are just as fed up with the way things are.

Nature is a balm. Photography helps us remember it in the shorter, darker days. 🙂

The fall leaves are amazing. So brief when they are down.
