after petals fall
and arctic winds snatch coat tails,
I look inward

Notes: A rich imagination makes winters short and full of dancing flowers. May your New Year be magical.
Happy Poetry Friday and thanks for hosting to Sylvia Vardell at Poetry for Children, poet and poetry ambassador! A quote from her site: “Poetry makes you smarter…”
Perfect… Wishing you a winter filled with wonders!

The beauty of each fresh fallen snow is magical, unless you have to go out and about in the middle of a storm. Stay safe and warm, Brenda.

Yesterday’s cold rain kept me curled up with a book and cup of tea yesterday, but I love your “thoughts of dancing flowers.” Wishing you a magical new year, as well, Brenda!

Yes when I was growing up Epiphany was a big deal, the coming of the kings, taking down the tree. Now people have trees on the curb or basement on the 26th.

Oh that is sad. Perhaps the trees go up far too early these days which makes people eager to take them down as soon after Christmas as possible.

I think that is what happens. Exactly. Christmas is everywhere these days, before Halloween! Thanks for writing.

Our houses are getting smaller, too. In some cases, the tree is in the way. But I keep mine up to enjoy a little longer.

Apparently some people keep them until Candlemas in February.
