Flower Banks

flower banks,
bees make withdrawals
rain makes deposits

Copyright 2018 Brenda Davis Harsham

Notes: This poem is dedicated to the bees. The flowers will dream of them all winter, and I’ll dream of both.

This poem plays with the words bank, withdrawal and deposit, comparing a clump of flowers to a bank. Does the analogy work?

Happy Poetry Friday and thanks for hosting to Michelle Barnes, poet, greeting card writer and friend, at Today’s Little Ditty.

  1. I love the analogy, Brenda and since one of my granddaughters has become an authority on bees, will save the poem for her. Perhaps because I’m always loving rain because we have so little, I love the idea of it being a deposit! Indeed it is here! Thanks!
