when the bread-oven sun
summer-bakes the earth
still the rain will fall, cooling

Notes: My thoughts are with Families Belong Together protestors, out in baking summer heat, on behalf of imprisoned and lost children who need their parents. Put the children first. Reunite children and parents. We must act in the best interests of each child, not from irrational immigrant-phobia.
Lovely! It’s baking here and now rain. I just love nature! 🙂

I’ve been in a tent in the summer. It’s suffocating.

They do look like it, but I think these were tulips. I took the picture in the spring.

Tulips! Interesting hybrid as I have not seen tulips like these before. The ones we get from florists are like a single cup type.

Yes, I think these were double tulips — double the petals, although I didn’t plant them so I didn’t read the label. I’m going by my memory of the look of the stem and leaves, not much of which is in the photo. They were a neighbor’s munificence. So many of my photos are from her garden. 🙂

Thanks! It came of playing Agricola last night with my family. I had bread ovens on the brain.
