tulips tremble
with thanks for every raindrop,
cleansing, nourishing
like mothers whose tears come from
laughter when thumped at Parcheesi

Notes: You guessed it. My children are blockading me, thumping me, sending me home, but I smile, groan and roll the dice. And laugh! Happy Mother’s Day! And for my mother, I left a poem for her birthday.
I have wonderful memories of playing Parcheesi with my mom! TY, Brenda!
