Announcing Publication!

 

Cover for Chicken Soup for the Soul My Amazing Mom 101 Stories of Love and Appreciation

I’m honored to announce that my true story, My Grandmother’s Candy Dish, was selected from thousands of submissions and published on March 20, 2018, by Chicken Soup for the Soul’s anthology, My Amazing Mom: 101 Stories of Love and Appreciation. 

The anthology shares happiness, inspiration, and wellness. My piece is published in the “Lasting Lessons” section. I’m hugging the book now. Anyone who knows me well knows what a milestone it is for me. I haven’t gotten the check yet, but I have my ten free copies. 🙂

I would never have gotten this far without my blogging friends. Your comments shore up my faltering confidence when I get rejected (often) and reading your posts helps me remember why the world is a magical place, full of wonder and joy.

This on top of winning Honorable Mention in a contest has made today very special. It may be the first day of spring, a nor’easter snowstorm is on the way, but I am basking in the glow.

This afternoon is the Twitter Book Launch party. Assuming we don’t lose power, I plan to scan a photograph of my grandmother to share during the party. I hope you can stop by.
