Notes: Florida is so cold, iguanas are falling from trees! Farther up the coast, thundersnow and coastal floods are calamities brought by the 2018 Bomb Cyclone Blizzard. This photo was taken a couple of weeks ago, before the thick snow arrived.

I never fear that dandelions will perish over the winter! Dandelions in May is one thing you can always depend on!

It is—but cryogenics, as you know–deals with the frezzing of life and the storing of same frozen and then some time in the future unthawing and reviving! Did you see Woody Allen, in SLEEPER?

At first glance, I thought the picture was a sidewalk drawing. I guess my Florida brain can’t compute frozen dandelions. I love your poem–it captures the image perfectly.

Winter dandelion is quite the oxymoron, isn’t it? But how I would love to be hoarding some sunshine. Lovely poem and stunning photo. We are expecting ice this weekend – not looking forward to it. Stay warm!

Brenda, I was intrigued by the title and then, the photo. The lines of the poem hold the reality of the situation. I would like to capture this image poem for my winter gallery. Would you be able to embed the words onto the image with your location so I can then easily place it in the gallery. Right now it is too large to capture it?

What a photo and haiku to capture this cold, cold week. I love the idea of that dandelion hoarding sunshine for later. Maybe I should break out a jar of dandelion jelly I made last spring. It’s so cold here that the water around the rim of my HEATED waterer is freezing overnight. At least the chickens are taking it all in stride.

I just saw on the news about the iguanas falling out of trees. YIKES! I’m on my 2nd snow day here in FRIGID Boston. A great day to snuggle up and read some poetry! That poor dandelion! But maybe it’s just in a sleepy hibernation state. 🙂

I loathe this weather. I think 🤔 it warmed up to 19 today. Read it might hit the 50’s next week. A thaw is a welcomed sight. Very cool photo.

I was quite surprised to see that dandelion on ice. Perhaps it was because we’d had such a warm fall. The sudden descent into iciness took us by surprise.
