Notes: Here’s a playful rhyming haiku. I’ll call it a rhyme-ku. Still strangled by my to-do-list python, which grows longer hourly. Happy Poetry Friday! Thanks for hosting to Matt Forrest Esenwine, author of the recent, rhyming, well-received picture book, Flashlight Night. Congrats again, Matt! Surf by Matt’s website to catch the poetry wave.
Pretty puffy poetry, Brenda! 🌸🌼

AHHH – CHOO! I bumped into a large patch of yellow flowers in an alley today. I get sneezes from whatever they are. I thought of you, today. I found a shimmery pale pink stretch velvet. … very fairy. Now, do I do a pastel rainbow, or a symphony of pinks to go with it? 😀

Or browns, earthen tones. Too much pink isn’t good for one’s complexion. 😉

Earthen tones sound interesting. I think that could possibly include gentle dustings/overlay of old gold and bronze. I saw some interesting sort of earthen metallic net type fabrics in the bargain bin. ❤
Anyway, step by step!

Yes! That sounds gorgeous. That would evoke flowers and spring.

Did you do a rhyme-ku, too? I am slow to get around on my visits this week. Friday and Saturday have been non-stop activity.

I’m not familiar with those particular flowers–they sure are a pretty shade of pink. One shouldn’t be allowed to be allergic to anything pink! 😉

Atchoo! I feel you – I’m pretty much allergic to all things rooted, but that doesn’t diminish my love for growing things.

I had such an allergy reaction in the petrified forest, which has lush live oak trees. They are my bane. But I have to visit anyway. What a beautiful place. Redwoods don’t seem to bother me. Just live oaks. It’s weird.

I needed a little lightness. I have survived the kids’ first week back at school. I have to go get my daughter now, actually…

Brenda, the rhyme-ku is just wonderful and so interesting that it is related to the allergy season. That could be a reason why I am sneezing so much lately.

I have terrible allergies in fall, ragweed season, but the astilbe blooms look so much better in the picture. Sadly, they were gone by August.

LOL I spread some mulch in the early morning recently. Attacked viciously by mosquitoes. Ugh! Summer always helps me remember why I welcome Autumn with a joyful heart most years. 🙂
