early leaves furled —
brightest riverwalk blooms
dot sculling shells

Notes: Yesterday, the sky was layered with thick clouds, and the Boston riverside was busy with rowers and conservationists collecting trash.

I like your poem and photo. The photo could almost be a painting – there is lovely light to it.

Thanks, Suzanne. It was hard to get a good shot because the sky was overcast. 🙂

This is a familiar sight, but I haven’t seen it for a while. An association I belong to used to have meetings, at least once or twice a year at Microsoft’s facility in Cambridge and I stayed at a hotel along the river. Thanks for the beautiful memory jog, Brenda.

We were visiting the cherry trees, but I’m saving those for future posts. 🙂

I had to read this over again to figure out how conservationists were collecting rowers! Laughing…..It’s the jet lag!

I was in Boston last week – all the way from little old Cornwall! I think your spring is a little behind us – although last Sunday was glorious! I was on Cape Cod on Monday!

Isn’t the Cape gorgeous? Topped only by Martha’s Vineyard. Must take the kids there one day soon.

The Cape is lovely. I didn’t get to Martha’s Vineyard. Hope to next time – we were staying in Plymouth, MA – and I work in Plymouth UK. I let you put two and two together 🙂

I’ve heard Cornwall is beautiful. I’d love to visit one day. So many beautiful places, so little time for traveling!

Cornwall is very beautiful. Beaches and coves aplenty, and moors between. It’s very rural! 🙂
