Snow is old hat.
We’re ready for a new topper,
a cold stopper:
a spring bonnet,
sunshine feathers
and cherry blossoms on it.
We’ll don a cloak
of dogwood petals.
May day is not far away!
Flowers, blossoms and
blooms will pave the way.

I love those bright spring bonnets! We seem to be going back and forth between the old hat (okay, not quite snow but cold and damp) and the blossoms and blooms of spring.

Winter’s old hat is going to be traded in for Spring’s bonnet, Brenda. I think that this poem about the transition of winter to spring is just what we needed today. Happy Spring! Winter Wonder 17 was just unveiled. Thanks for contributing.

Yes, “old hat” indeed. I completely agree with the so-done-with-winter sentiments. Love the dogwood photo too. We don’t have those yet, but the cherries and early magnolias are trying.

Wonderful and happy poem, Brenda! It is snowing here, no “sunshine feathers”, but it will melt because it’s been so warm recently. I hope those flowers come your way soon. Our flowering trees are out, but the green leaves are still not showing. It will be a while!

Good! We need some heat to melt this new snow and ice. But my son’s orchestra won Gold in a statewide competition, so some good came of today. 🙂 As a result, I might even get to see him play violin at Boston Symphony Hall. That will be a proud moment.

Oh, Brenda, I can’t wait. It’s SO dark and cold. But I’ll picture bonnets and maybe that will help. Maybe the chicklets will start wearing them for a day or two. 🙂

This year was unusually cold and snowy in my part of the world, and we are longing for those much-missed blossoms to put in our bonny spring bonnets!

Snow again for us tonight and tomorrow! Ugh, BUT the good thing is that new snow somehow helps the old stuff to melt better. Go figure. Must be some science to it!

AWE thank you for asking. Well it’s about 85%. I still have some pain mostly after working all day. I’m still having trouble sitting for more than 1 hour but I feel I’m getting better every day. How are you doing? xoxo

I’m doing good, knock wood. Exercising more, less pain. Surgery was less than a year ago, and I still tire fast. But I feel lots better than last summer! 🙂 XOXO
