hope rises like heat
like a balloon let go
like prayers

Notes: My temporary job has been extended again, and I’m having more trouble finding time to read and write. Making money is heady after years of home-making, family raising and writing in stolen moments. Now those stolen moments are harder to find. But I’m still looking up, dreaming up characters and seizing quiet moments. I hope you find time to look up, too. Magic comes of changing your perspective.
Really love it

Yes, my hopes rise when trees tower over me. I liked the balloon reference, too. 🙂

Thanks! My kids are always so sad if they let go of a balloon outdoors, but it is something to see it rise up and fly away. Terrible for the environment, of course.

Oooh – I’ve been away a while – congrats on the temporary job! And the balancing of writing with it as you can. I loved this one.

Thanks, Beth. I am still writing in the stolen moments, but they are fewer than before. 🙂

Isn’t it soul-healing? Like something is patched up and renewed by seeing light through leaves, pine needles and clouds.
